Course Description:



When a demanding environment is encountered, it is important to select the proper high performance coating system. This program will enlighten the participants on the importance of proper surface preparation and the various technologies and coatings systems available. The presentation will also include information on newer technologies in high performance coatings that will give the architect/specifier more options to consider when a low carbon footprint is required.

Learning Objectives:


  • Association of Materials Protection and Performance Standards (AAMP)-Details current SSPC and NACE standards.


  • The participants will learn Coating Characteristics by Generic Type: Alkyds, High Performance Acrylics, Epoxies, Urethanes, Polysiloxanes and Fluoropolymers.


  • The participant will learn about Jobsite “Real World” Standards. Things happen during the beginning, middle and end of a commercial project. Here we discuss real 􀆟me construction site standards.


  • Products for Projects by Facility Type: specifying coatings for Healthcare, Education and Hospitality Multi Family/Mixed Use. We discuss the needs of the owner and the budget of the project to choose the right coating system.
