SENIOR TECHNICAL DESIGNER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
FRANK. is currently seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join our team! This position reports directly to the Chief Creative Officer. This position will be full time at our beautiful studio located in Costa Mesa, CA.
The ideal individual will have dedicated experience in luxury residential interior design, architectural + structural literacy and share our passion and enthusiasm for the design space. They will uphold a service culture that demonstrates extraordinary delivery to cultivate an environment where all clients and guests feel welcome, heard, and valued. This position plays a pivotal role in the design and execution of architectural projects, focusing on creating innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing solutions. They bridge the gap between conceptual design and practical implementation, ensuring project success while maintaining creative excellence. The ideal candidate possesses expert creative design solutions and original concepts in all aspects of architectural designs for projects of considerable scale and complexity.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and oversee the conceptual and schematic design phases of projects.
• Develop creative and cohesive design solutions aligned with client needs and project goals.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, ensuring design integrity across all stages.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the project progresses smoothly.
• Maintain adherence to budgets, timelines, and regulatory standards.
• Develop, review and approve design documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Serve as the primary design liaison with clients, presenting concepts and addressing feedback.
• Ensure client expectations are met while maintaining the firm’s design standards.
• Apply advanced knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction techniques. • Integrate structural, mechanical, and environmental systems into the design.
• Ensure sustainability and innovation in design approaches.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Oversee design revisions and manage stakeholder inputs during all project phases.
• Maintain high standards of design quality and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design intent is implemented accurately.

Hourly Non-Exempt (Rate DOE)
Must be able to lift up to 20lbs

QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional degree in Architecture or related experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites, Auto CAD (inc. reading plans), Sketch-up, Layout and Rendering experience for design exploration.
Self-starter who works with the utmost precision.
Excellent organizational skills.
WAGE:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
