This course provides a brief review of the basics taught in the Introduction to Insulated Concrete Forms Course 1 but focuses particular emphasis on the use of ICF Technology for its benefits and advantages in terms of application to General Commercial. Construction.
Learning Objectives:
After attending the course, the participants will have a better understanding of not only the different types of ICFs but also the environmental, design, and construction benefits of utilizing ICF technology within Commercial Construction applications. The basic construction procedures, along with typical non-combustible floor and roof interface detailing with ICFs are reviewed as well as Code issues associated with General Commercial Construction. A variety of examples showing ICFs applied within Commercial Construction projects is also presented.

Presenter:
Andy Horgan was born and educated in the UK where he studied architecture and design. After graduating he worked for London-based architectural/design practices focused within the retail sector. In 1994, he relocated to the US and started his own practice with a primary focus on designing with innovative technologies, to include insulating concrete forms (ICF’s). He has spent the last 25+ years working in the ICF industry, consulting with A/E design and construction teams in Europe, Middle East, and North America, and is considered by his peers as a subject matter expert within the ICF industry. The last 15 years have been focused on design consulting on commercial applications for ICF within K-12, High Education and Military sectors throughout North America
