It takes a special structure to allow art to truly come to life--and we are lucky to have just that in the new Orange County Museum of Art! With its undulating form and distinct gallery spaces, OCMA is the final component of a multi-disciplinary arts campus surrounding the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa--and it won a 2023 IDEAS² Award from the American Institute of Steel Construction.
Join Parbi Boodaghian, SE of John A. Martin Associates, Austin Griffis of Morphosis Architects, Tom Farrar of Clark Construction and AISC on Tuesday, October 17, for the inside story on how the designers used the geometric flexibility of structural steel to bring their vision from concept to construction.
This free event runs from noon to 2:00 p.m. and will include lunch, networking, and a presentation from the design team. Subject to approval, you could earn 1.0 LU/PDH.
