Far too often we are involved in litigation where the project had risks that were not well vetted before our clients got materially involved. This program will focus on how to assess the risks associated with a project before diving in as well as how to mitigate those risks through contract negotiation and how to manage those risks once the project is moving forward.

Learning Objectives – Attendees will learn:

  • How to assess legal project risks before diving in.

  • How to assess practical project risks before diving in.

  • How to mitigate the risks before signing an agreement for a project.

  • How to continue to manage and mitigate risks once you’re in the project.

Lawrence A. Treglia, Jr. received his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University (BA, 1982), and his law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (JD, l986). His practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on construction law, and on representing and counseling design professionals. He has received Martindale Hubbell's “AV Preeminent,” the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.


Mark Armstrong, Partner

Mark’s practice focuses primarily on general civil litigation, including especially construction litigation and business litigation.  

An Orange County native, Mark attended law school at Penn State’s Dickinson School of Law where he had the opportunity to serve as a student clerk for the Honorable John E. Jones III, at the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.  While at the Dickinson School of Law, Mark also served as the Symposium Editor for the Journal of Law and International Affairs, President of the Environmental Law Society, and President of the International Law Society.
