This presentation provides an explanation of the various components that lead to water penetration in walls and how to prevent it with rainscreen wall system solutions. The importance of air barriers, vapor control and thermal control in walls will also be discussed, as will examples of proper rainscreen details and construction. Additionally, the basics of WUFI modeling will be summarized.
