Founded in 1982, J.R. Miller & Associates (JRMA) has successfully provided design and engineering services for solid waste, aviation, industrial, commercial, and manufacturing facilities. We’ve work with facility owners, public entities, and design/build construction contractors with a focus on functionality, efficiency, and life-cycle cost reduction.
Our firm has completed site planning and designs for over 5,000 projects including steel frame, masonry, tilt-up concrete, and metal building systems. In addition, we have designed over 1,500 structural engineering projects involving seismic retrofits and equipment foundations. All projects utilize state-of-the-art computer capability in structural analysis and architectural design.
Our in-house architectural and structural engineering services ensure a well-coordinated design. Our architecture and engineering staff hold licenses in over 23 U.S. States as well as NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) registration to facilitate design practice throughout the country.
We are also on the leading edge of sustainable and green design with the completion of the world’s first LEED Platinum private hangar. This premier facility serves as a model for our future projects for integrating cost-effective “Green Design.” JRMA professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects, the Structural Engineers’ Association of California, American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the International Council of Building Officials and Silver Member of the U.S. Green Building Council. Additionally, we are also active members of the Systems Builders Association, where we’ve made a significant contribution to the establishment of a Handbook on Design Aspects of Systems Buildings by the Architectural Department at Cal Poly Pomona.
